More unreleased Purity Ring here. Usually I’d shy away from posting a shitty transcode leak but this deserves an exception. The synth sound in this track is…pure. It almost sounds like some sort of space tuba or something…it’s pretty hot shit and I like it. Then there’s the delayed out vocal melody bringing everything together. It all works incredibly well. Great way to close the album of the year. At least in my book it’s album of the year. That is until Animal Collective murder my concept of music in September.

Purity Ring’s debut album Shrines is out July 24 on 4AD/Last Gang. Here’s a brand new single from the duo entitled “Fineshrine”. Yeah they’re getting hyped up a lot but I figured out why when I saw them live at Sasquatch…it’s because they make insanely good music and can replicate it perfectly on stage.
