Hannah Hunt by Vampire Weekend from Modern Vampires Of The City

Modern Vampires Of The City

The latest offering from indie god-kings Vampire Weekend is more of a grower than Contra. The tracks seem to be less immediate but ultimately more substantial in terms of production and songwriting. Really enjoying this track in particular. Modern Vampires Of The City is Vampire Weekends third proper LP.

Primal Sequence by Porcelain Raft from Silent Speech

Porcelain Raft’s Mauro Remiddi sold most of his gear and bought a modular synth…the result was some pretty spectacular late night instrumentals that ended up on an EP he just released. Enjoy.

And all of sudden there’s a new Lemonade track on Soundcloud. My summer is already pretty well sound tracked but this is getting added to the score for sure. Was not expecting new music from these guys but I’ll take it…especially when it’s this good.

Canoe by Small Black from Limits of Desire
Song:
Canoe
Artist:
Small Black
Album:
Limits of Desire

Small Black’s newest album, Limits of Desire is a perfect next step for this band. The whole album is really well sequenced and quite cohesive. This is their best work to date, although the Moonkiller mixtape is a close second.

New Clams Casino featuring none other than DOOM. Don’t know what this song is going to be a part of…if anything. Another EP from Clams would be well received I think.
